SEQUOIA Design Systems, Inc. was founded in 1998 in Woodside, California. The Company develops, sells and supports physics-based design tools for semiconductor engineers, tools which bring the potential of Technology Computer-Aided Design to practical factory applications. The company's family of products started with SEQUOIA Device Designer - a Windows NT/2000/XP based fully integrated device optimization system. It allows the engineer to quickly arrive at an optimal device design based on gained in-depth understanding of the device's operation and its limiters. Device Designer includes in one tightly integrated tool all the components necessary for this: state of the art structure and mesh synthesis, powerful triangular mesh-based device simulation and an intuitive and responsive framework.
Several other products have been released since then: Mixed-Mode Circuit-Device simulation (MM), Device Self-Heating (LT), Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and SEQUOIA Cell Designer (SCD), a DFM product which offers advanced lithography simulation capabilities, OPC and a unique link from design information and manufacturing equipment physics to electrical circuit simulation.
