Simple Diodes are constructed and simulated using the BJT Module. This Module is derived from the basic Slab Module. As usual, the device structure, doping and mesh are parametrized to allow for device optimization and parameter studies. Diodes generated by this Module can be included in Mixed-Mode circuits.
A transient simulation of a diode in a rectifier circuit is included in the standard examples library shipped with SEQUOIA Device Designer. Circuit parameter values used for this simulation were R=1e6 Ohm*micron and C=1e3 fF/micron.
